What a stink!
Raft building was a blast! We’ve had great fun planning and building our rafts to float on the water! They were all successful at floating! Go teams! We even raced each other across the pond! Some of us chose to jump in at the end and swim to shore – it has been amazing! All showered and smelling fresher now!
Day 3
We are having so much fun – after a great nights sleep we have felt refreshed and ready to tackle the days challenges! E group have been on the drum jam, making loads of noise and D group have been abseiling like Spider-Man! Then we all got very mucky on the nightline, where we had to follow a trail blindfolded! We are absolutely loving camp and having so much fun fun fun! Hopefully we will get a chance to blog later on, after we have been raft building!
A few more action shots
What’s the problem?!Â
Good morning from camp!
We’re here!
And we’re here! What a great start to our camp experience! We’ve made our own beds, we’re all safe and happy, we’ve enjoyed our first activity and we’re hungrily waiting for our delicious dinner! More updates to follow…
Nearly time for Camp!
It’s not long now until Year 6 go to Dearne Valley for our residential: we are very excited! In the meantime, we still have until Wednesday in school where we will be continuing our English work on the fable The Discontented Fish. Our Learn Its will again be:
- 5 + 4 = 9
- 5 + 6 = 11
- 6 + 7 = 13
- 8 +7 = 15
- 8 + 9 = 17
We really want to increase our scores in the Beat That challenges so we need to work on these so that the answers just ‘pop’ out! Maybe you could ask an adult or a friend to quiz you on them for a minute to see how many you get right…
Isabella and Kia’s challenge
We have a challenge:
Natasha C buys 34 boxes of sweets and in each box there are 97 sweets. And then she shares the sweets between 7 friends . How much does each friend get? Is there a remainder? If there is what does she do with them?
Natasha B’s challenge
Natasha has set you a challenge linked to our work this week on Real Life maths.
Can anyone give me the answer to my word problem?
If Bob has 650 sweets and gives Bobalena 334.6 of the sweets how many will he have left?
