Here’s a little teaser for you to have a go at…
A roll of sparkly ribbon is 12m long.If I use 40cm per parcel, how many presents will I be able to wrap?
Once I’ve received three correct responses, I’ll post the answer and set another challenge. I wonder how many of you will respond..?
Hi Mrs Larkin is the answer 3
No, it’s not Leah. Have another look at it…
Courtney, you are correct! Two more correct answers and I’ll post another challenge.
Leah there is 100 cm in a m so if you do 12m =1200cm ÷ 40 or
12÷4 but remember to add the zeros back on
Well Done Courtney! You’ve been remembering our maths lessons this term hope you have a lovely Christmas.
I’ve got correct answers from Courtney and Inayah now… is anyone else going to have a try?
Is it 30 presents
I like challenges I hope you will have a nice Christmas
I like setting them – I hope someone will post another answer soon so I can set the next one! Thanks Courtney, you too 🙂
Thank you Mrs Larkin
12m=1200
1200 divided by 40=30
so the answer is 30 parcels
Merry Christmas everyone hope you have a wonderful day with something special and special hopes.
the answer is 30 parcels because 1m = 100 so 12m = 1200 1200 divided by forty is 3 then you put the zero on
