A new school year

As it’s nearly time for us to come back to school, I thought some of you might like to think ahead and post what you’re looking forward to this year. I’ll start us off and say I’m looking forward to working on lots of exciting new topics and seeing you all show your expertise in new and different ways. I’m also looking forward to working a lot more with the new Year 5s and Miss Taylor πŸ™‚

  1. Here are some facts about the Ancient Greeks houses since a lot of people didn’t know what they were like. Men and women lived in different parts of the house. Women had the back and upstairs part. Most houses in Ancient Greek towns were built from stone or clay. The roofs were covered with tiles, or reeds, and the houses had one or two storeys. The floors of the rooms were tiled to keep them cool, although in winter fires in metal baskets were sometimes needed. Larger homes had a kitchen, a room for bathing, a men’s dining room, and sometimes a woman’s sitting area.

    1. Thanks for that, Inayah πŸ™‚ I’ll put a signature on for you in the morning. Do you know if there were any differences between housing for rich and poor Ancient Greeks?
