Tick tock!

Can I say first of all, thank you for a lovely week. You have all worked so hard and you should be very proud of yourselves.

In maths next week, we are going to be telling the time which may be tricky for some of us. So in order for us to get off to a flying start on Monday, I would like you to tell me the answers to the following questions:

  1. How many hours are in a day?
  2. How many minutes are in an hour?
  3. How many seconds are in a minute?
  4. How many months are in a year?

If you know these already, could you create a challenging question such as:

Jack was so tired, that he spent two whole days asleep! How many hours was Jack asleep for?

Enjoy your weekend, see you on Monday.

    1. Briony, the passwords are at school, but if you ask me during morning mission I will give you the slip with your details on.

  2. Isabella has been in St John’s school for two years, but then she moved to Priory. How many months has she been in St John’s altogether?

  3. I’ve got a myth
    Unicorns πŸ¦„ hiccups
Once upon a time lived a family of unicorns but one had hiccups she was called Maisy she went to food shop. She was sent out because she was a unicorn. It turned out that her kids had took all of her food. To make a medicine for her nan. She had a bug and couldn’t move or she will be sick. She said ” children stop heat are you doing tell me.” They said ” Were making medicine for nan.” They took it to nan and she thought it would not help her bug. It did but it only lasted for 5 minutes. Finally she went back shopping and only bought fruit and vegetables. The kids got grownded for doing that even though it was good for nan. They never made it ever again. Maisy said ” Don’t do it again.” She always reminded the kids all the time. They lived happy ever after
    The End πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Oliver went to bed at 20 minutes past 6. I go to bed 1 hour and 10 minutes later. What time do I have to go to bed?

    1. is it 180 minutes because 3 times 60 is 180.I can also work out the number of seconds in 3 hours. it is 180 minutes times 60 seconds which is 10800 seconds.
Because 18×6=10×6 +8×6=60+48=108 and now you need to stick two zeroes on the end.

    1. We are making adverbs by adding -ly.

      (painful) painfully
      (hopeful) hopefully
      (large) largely
      (complete) completely
      (vague) vaguely
