# Equivalent fractions… with pancakes!

Well done on your equivalent fraction work today with Mrs Forman. We are both very impressed with how hard you are working, even though it is very tricky.

Can you tell me something that you have learnt in the past few sessions?

# Perlethorpe

Well done Y3 for your superb behaviour at Perlethorpe on Tuesday. I was very happy to see you using some of the equipment correctly and asking some brilliant questions to the leaders.

If you would like some extra tasks this weekend, with your grown-up, choose from one of the following:

1 star: Column addition for these calculations: 78 + 47, 96 +37, 49 + 59.

2 star: Smile multiplciation: 40 x 40, 40 x 80, 60 x 40.

3 star: Coin multiplication: x47, x52, x55.

Remember if you chose coin multiplication, work out 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x.

Have a great weekend.

# Tick tock!

Can I say first of all, thank you for a lovely week. You have all worked so hard and you should be very proud of yourselves.

In maths next week, we are going to be telling the time which may be tricky for some of us. So in order for us to get off to a flying start on Monday, I would like you to tell me the answers to the following questions:

1. How many hours are in a day?
2. How many minutes are in an hour?
3. How many seconds are in a minute?
4. How many months are in a year?

If you know these already, could you create a challenging question such as:

Jack was so tired, that he spent two whole days asleep! How many hours was Jack asleep for?

Enjoy your weekend, see you on Monday.
