In Year 3 this week we have started our Ancient Egypt topic. It looks like a very exciting topic and we cannot wait to find out more about it…
We have made a list of some things that we would like to find out about, do you have any other questions that you would like to ask?
In Numeracy we have been doing division – Can you answer the following questions…
* What is 21 divided by 3?
** What is 54 divided by 6?
*** What is 34 divided by 8 (be careful this is a bit trickier!)
Can you think of your own division questions to post for other people to answer too!
Hello, I hope that you are having a great holiday!
After the holidays we will be beginning our topic about Ancient Egypt.
Do you already know anything about Ancient Egypt? (Please do not just copy lots of text from the internet though!)
What would you like to find out about it?
We will share the ideas on the first day back so get blogging – there will be a signature for
anyone who contributes to the post…
I have a number problem for you to solve Year 3!
I want to make the number 26 with only 3 1-digit or 2-digit numbers.
I can use any operations ( x, +, – or divide) and I can use a mixture of them.
Can you think of at least 2 different ways (maximum of 5) that you can solve my problem?
I will not post your answer if there are not at least 2 different ways!
Here are some examples to start you off…
30 – 8 + 4 = 26
21 + 10 – 5 = 26
7 x 3 + 5 = 26
