All in a spin!

tornadoNext week we are going to be looking closely at tornadoes! We will be doing lots of drama work to role-play being in a tornado and writing a diary entry all about it.

Can you find out any facts about tornadoes?
What do you think it would be like to be in one? Which words or phrases could describe it?

Keep posting your ideas and we will share them in class next week…

This week in Year 3 (Posted by Eve and Bobby)

In Numeracy we have been learning about units of time and working out time problems. We have also learnt about capacity and reading scales.
We would like you to answer the following questions…
1) How many minutes are there in half an hour?
2) How many minutes are there in an hour?
3) How many hours are there in four days?

In Literacy we have been writing Newspaper reports for an extreme weather condition – we had great fun thinking of snappy headlines!

What have you enjoyed most about this week? Don’t forget to try to answer the time questions and maybe you could post some of your own…
