Apple Week!

As part of our Harvest celebrations the Foundation Unit went to pick some apples from our apple trees. Then we needed to peel, core and chop them.

After that we needed to mix lots of ingredients such as flour, cinnamon, baking powder, eggs and sugar, together before we added our chopped up apples to the mix.

Then we put the mixture into a baking tray and cooked our apple cakes! We had to wait until Tuesday before we could taste them.

We invited Mrs Horgan to a street party as we wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for all the painting of our Worksop street scene in our garden. We were very EXCITED to be celebrating this revamp!

This week we have continued looking at patterns in ‘Mum and Dad make me laugh’. Mars children have made some patterns of their own using coloured pegs.

Some of the Shooting Stars are going to meet our new talking friends at Westwood Care Home. We will take some pictures and let you know how it goes and what we chat about!

Snack Time!

This week we have been practising our fine motor skills by spreading jam onto our crackerbreads.

We have been writing lots this week – some of us have been writing our names and some of us have made words with magnetic letters.

Thinking Time

Which of these animals do you think is the friendliest? Why do you think this?

Welcome back!

We’ve had great fun talking about our holidays today and seeing our friends and teachers again. CHALLENGE: Here are some photos. Can you say a full sentence (around 6 words) to your grown up (and grown ups, can you please pop their sentence on the blog?) about something you can see in the photos?
